The SVPA-ASMAP-ASAP is the Swiss association of psychiatric trainees (SAPT) and was founded in September 2009. Aims of the association are to improve psychiatric training in Switzerland, to create personal and professional networks and to represent trainee positions in relevant other organizations (such as the Swiss association of psychiatry and psychotherapy SGPP/SSPP).

Als Mitglieder können Ärztinnen und Ärzte in Weiterbildung zum Facharzttitel (FMH) für Psychiatrie und Psychotherapie, sowie Kinder- und Jugendpsychiatrie und - psychotherapie aufgenommen werden. Die SVPA empfiehlt eine gleichzeitige Mitgliedschaft in der SGPP, welche jedoch nicht Voraussetzung für die Aufnahme ist.

Association suisse des médecins assistantes et assistants en psychiatrie
Peuvent être admis comme membres les médecins en formation postgraduée en vue de l’obtention du titre de spécialiste (FMH) en psychiatrie et psychothérapie ainsi qu’en psychiatrie et psychothérapie de l’enfant et de l’adolescent. L’ASMAP recommande une affiliation simultanée à la SSPP. Néanmoins, celle-ci n’est pas une condition d’admission à l’ASMAP.
